Julie and I are passionate about generosity and using what we have been given to impact the world around us. The Bible says in Luke 12:48, “From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, even more will be expected.” We are grateful for the privilege to play in the NFL, but also believe we have a responsibility to manage well what we have been given, and to be generous with it.

Adventure Bags
Adventure Bags, Inc. is driven by a commitment to serve and uplift Georgia’s most vulnerable children during times of crisis. Their mission is to serve displaced children, or children in crisis across the state of Georgia offering them backpacks filled with overnight essentials and comfort items during uncertain times. They aim to remind every child that someone cares. With compassion and a servant’s heart, they partner with local agencies, schools, and first responders to bring hope and reassurance when it’s needed most.
City of Refuge
City of Refuge is a faith-based environment committed to providing light, hope, and transformation for individuals and families in crisis. Situated in the middle of one of Atlanta’s most historic and struggling neighborhoods, where nearly 40% of the residents live below the Federal Poverty Level, they draw on over two decades of community development experience to offer holistic support. Their mission focuses on four key impact areas: Health & Wellness, Housing, Job Training, and Youth Development, empowering individuals and fostering sustainable change within the community.
Compassionate Heart Ministries
Compassionate Heart is a ministry that is very close to us. Based in my hometown, its name describes the mission – to have a heart of compassion like Jesus. They serve individuals with disabilities and their families by providing opportunities for meaningful relationships and activities. We have learned so much from the team at Compassionate Heart and from the wonderful people they serve. They care deeply and provide a safe and fun environment for men and women with disabilities to have mentors, be accepted and be themselves.
Discovery Church
Discovery Church is in Orlando, Florida and is committed to making disciples of Jesus. My dad, Don Cousins, is the lead pastor there. He has spent his life impacting people through ministry and we are excited about what is happening at Discovery. They have three campuses in the Orlando area. The church is non-denominational…it is simply a Bible-teaching church that is committed to prayer and compassionate connection with people in need in both their community and around the world.
Holland Christian Schools
Holland Christian Schools is committed to excellent education from a Christian perspective. I attended Holland Christian Schools along with my brother Kyle and my sister, Karalyne. Their mission, Equipping Minds and Nurturing Hearts to Transform the World for Jesus played a powerful role in my education and in my personal faith. We support Holland Christian because we believe the world needs men and women who have strong minds and hearts that are shaped by the truth of the Bible.
International Justice Mission
International Justice Mission is addressing one of the most heartbreaking issues of our time, modern day slavery and violence against the poor. They are working around the world to end slavery of all kinds including sex trafficking and forced labor slavery. This is a dark problem that many do not want to face. Men, women and children are being abused and held captive in the name of profit and selfish ambition because there is no one to advocate for them. The Bible makes it clear that every man, woman and child is valuable in the sight of God and that we are to defend the oppressed. We are grateful for IJM and the dedication they have to freeing those who are unable to free themselves.
Sacred Roots Farm
Sacred Roots Farm is a long-term recovery home for victims of human trafficking located on a sustainable farm. They believe that everyone was created with a divine dignity authored by God. Complex trauma causes us to lose touch with that reality. Victims of human trafficking arrive at the farm two weeks after detox and meet their first therapist who is a horse. The equine therapy and the serene setting of the farm allow the women to slow down and begin to discover who they are. During their time with Sacred Roots Farm, they have many different experiences, and learn many new skills, from changing oil in a car to financial management. As therapy continues, and the participants heal from the neurobiological effects of the trauma, the ladies begin to work with the staff and counselors to create an Individualized Life Plan (ILP). That ILP then begins to guide their launch strategy, and timing.
