Ready For Rivalry

True rivalries in the NFL are rare compared to what you see in the college game. Teams in the NFL have rivalries but it’s just a different type of feeling. I grew up watching NFC North games and I’m thrilled that I finally get to be a part of not only a division rivalry but also the Vikings/Packers rivalry. There’s a sort of mystique that comes with playing in Lambeau and I’m excited to get to be a part of it.

You can’t think of a game against the Packers without first focusing on Aaron Rodgers. The guy is a true talent and he can quickly take over a game - which is exactly what he showed against the Bears. For him to lead the Packers from 20 down after going out of the game with a knee injury is the stuff that legends are made of. Hurt or not, Aaron is someone we have to be ready for come Sunday.

The Packers are more than just a quarterback and we have spent all week preparing for their talented defense. They are talented and experienced in their front seven. Clay Matthews is a guy who has been around for a while and he lines up all over the defense in different positions. He can be disruptive if we do not account for him on every play. Mike Daniels, Muhammad Wilkerson and Kenny Clark round out a stout defensive line that is active in the run and pass game. Their secondary may be young but those guys are talented ballhawks that we will have to pick out spots against.

I cannot wait to step into Lambeau against the Packers this week. It is a big game but we have to treat this as business as usual. Hope you guys find a way to watch this game, because this one will be a game you will not want to miss.
